As part of our "Around the world in 12 Boxes Subscription", the All-About Paper Box from India, we are proud to present you with a few notebooks left.

The first shipment from India was, unfortunately, very unlucky and 99% of the notebooks arrived with some transportation damages (i.e. broken pages, torn pages etc). But, as a sustainable business, we always try not to produce waste and since these notebooks are still perfectly usable and super cute, we've decided to add them to our outlet. Check them out now!

NOTEBOOKS SELECTION:

  • MUMTAZ: Aziza pays tribute to the Begum of Agra with this exquisite pattern, inspired by the craftsmanship and world-famous stonework at the Taj Mahal.

  • DILLI HAAT: Jyotirmayee Patra captures the soul of Dilli Haat - a bustling, open-air food & crafts bazaar in Delhi.

  • AMBY: Kunal Anand takes apart the classic Ambassador. A star of Indian streets, it is hard to tell what made this car such a phenomenon.

  • KOODIYATTAM: Ranganath Krishnamnai depicts one of the older folk art performed in temple theatres across Kerala - Koodiyattam. Based on a highly developed mime language, great emphasis is laid on facial and eye expressions, and hasta mudras in this form.

  • DOPE:  Artist Sajid Wajid Shaikh would like to encourage you to embrace the dopeness that you carry within you.
  • NIGHT QUEEN: My body is my business, the moon is my witness. I want to raise my eyes to the stars, not scan the crowd for strangers trying to steal my light. I want to walk with abandon. I will go out, redden my lips and wear my heart on my sleeves (or lack of them). I will not hesitate to meet your gaze, dear stranger, when we meet on the street. This poster was created by Shilo Shiv Suleman and Aruna Chandrashekar for the 2016 #IWillGoOut protests across India.

  • BROMANCE: Sanchi Sawaria creates this witty artwork supporting brotherly love and collaboration.

  • UP ABOVE: In a series dedicated to India's "Holy Men", Ranganath highlights a variety of Sadhus- each of them is a  unique embodiment of the philosophies they believe in.

  • MUMBAI: Anant Ahuja believes the essence of Mumbai is marred by its usual depiction - over-populated and dirty. This print focuses on its iconic and ambitious architecture.
  • BEAST WITHIN: Kunal anand unearths the Beast of Mumbai, layer by layer. Watch it crawl out of the sewers and become one with the living city.

  • BOMBAY KAALI PEELI: Broti Bhattacharya illustrates India's iconic Ambassador car in its various urban settings. From taxis to government vehicles, its silhouette and features remain recognisable to every Indian citizen. Seen here as one of the thousands of Bombay's black-and-yellow cabs.

  • THINK LOCAL: Mira Malhotra gives a face to the movement of think local, heralding a return to the rich culture of Indian handicrafts.

  • CHENNAI: Chaaya Prabhat captures an iconic Chennai scene of fishing boats lining the beaches during the early morning hours

  • KALYAN TRAIN: Siddharth Dasari's illustration of WAP 1 at Arakkonam Junction electric loco shed.

  • THE HINGLISH PROJECT:   Despite the superficial distinctiveness of English and Hindi, the two borrow from the same phonetic pool - they both belong to the Indo-European group of languages. Shirin Johari's font design playfully highlights these commonalities. The font cannot teach you how to read words as they are spelt in Hindi, but it aims to demystify individual letters in its script and make the language more approachable.
